Research has found LEGO based activities support social skill development (LeGoff, 2004; LeGoff & Sherman, 2006). LEGO based activities provide the foundation to targets a variety of social skills including joint attention, turn taking, initiating and maintaining conversation, conflict resolution/problem solving, asking for assistance, friendship building, teamwork/collaboration, and the development of functional language for social purposes. The teen LEGO Program also provides teens with the opportunity to develop their information research and publish speaking  skills.

The Peninsula Speech Plus Teen LEGO program provides a safe space for teenagers aged between 11-13 and 14-18 to develop their social skills whilst participating  in a fun and engaging LEGO project.

Monday 5th, Tuesday 6th & Thursday 8th July for 2.0 hours each day.

Where: 16 Davey Street Frankston – entry is via Bay Lane

10.00am to 12.00pm – 11-13 year olds
2.00pm to 4.00pm – 14-18 year olds

Cost: $540 including all handouts and materials (for 6 hours of therapy)

All participants (or parent) are required to attend a 15 minute zoom meeting with the therapist to ensure that we will meet your goals with this program.
