Prepping for Life after School
Many young people lack the skills and/or confidence to apply for a job once leaving school aged 18. They can also find interviewing and keeping a job difficult. These skills are essential in order for that young person to develop independence throughout adulthood.
Group Goal: To develop life skills that are necessary to apply, interview and succeed at a job.
- To develop an awareness of how to prepare a CV
- To develop conversation skills including eye contact and body language, topic maintenance, asking and answering questions and making connected comments.
- To develop an awareness of how to prepare for and engage in an interview situation.
- To engage in role-playing and solve common problems in the workplace such as conflict resolution.
