Kids in the Kitchen
Learning how to prepare healthy meals is an important skill in life, and the earlier children start the better. Children gain an understanding of the importance of a healthy and balanced diet.
Getting children involved in the kitchen is a great way to not only encourage them to eat healthily but also allows them to practice skills that are transferable in other areas of their lives. These can include problem-solving, planning, organisation, socialising with others and multiple fine motor skills. With support from occupational and speech therapists, children can practice and apply these skills in the kitchen and, above all, discover that cooking is fun!
