Happy Campers
Going on school camp without your parents can be a worrying experience and due to COVID-19 restrictions, there were many children who did not get the opportunity to experience their first camp.
This program aims to assist children with their transitions to school off-site activities by simulating a camping experience. Our objectives include:
- Providing calming strategies for social and emotional regulation
- Teaching children how to organise themselves and their belongings to promote independence
- Providing an idea of what to expect whilst on camp
- Teaching problem-solving strategies when personality conflicts arise
